My yoga rant is about how often the ONLY prenatal or postpartum-oriented exercise class you can find is yoga. Yoga can be so lovely in these periods (*especially* postpartum IMO) but it isn't the whole meal for our bodies, and for some folks it can really not feel great. My hips and low back were an absolute disaster every time I took a prenatal yoga class. I cannot imagine how horrible it would feel if you had SPD or something like that. More prenatal/postpartum strength classes, please, world!

OMG YES! (Also do you like how I literally have that response for almost everything you say!? Lol.)

My office is below a big yoga studio in Boston, and I get so many referrals from that community (which I'm grateful for!). I cannot tell you how many folks write me an email with "I went to yoga and I felt XYZ-not-great."

Also, the idea of more perinatal strength classes makes my entrepreneurial heart sing! If only there were about 12 more hours in the day.

Hahaha it's the OMG YES club.

A brilliant trainer I worked with on my Nike project has a whole studio in Doylestown devoted to perinatal strength workouts, and I wish there were one in every town! (If anyone's in that area, her name is Meghan Rosenfeld and her studio is called TFB Studio. She REALLY knows her stuff and is lovely!)

I’m so glad! It felt like treason and yet it felt so true.
